Product summary
The major characteristics of SILKYFLAKE® are its transparency and gloss. Because it is borosilicate glass-based, it is durable and has excellent protection against dulling. Natutect™ is an infrared reflective additive that reflects near-infrared rays reducing the risk of damaging subcutaneous tissue, giving the skin a natural skin pigmentation or white color appearance while protecting it. i-NAFLECS® (titanium dioxide encapsulated type), can be used as an alternative material to microplastics, as the silica particles provide a blurring effect that naturally covers pores and blemishes. GLACIA DROPS™ is a non-porous glass bead with a moist texture. MAR'VINA® is the base makeup powder product that utilizes all four of these product groups.
Natural and skin-friendly cosmetic powder
MAR'VINA® is a powder designed for easy use in base makeup cosmetics. Made from carefully selected natural ingredients, these products are gentle and kind to the skin and the environment and have a high natural origin index (ISO 16128).
1) SILKYFLAKE®
Glass flake with an environmentally friendly, low alkali, low heavy metal, boron-free TA glass, which is made from carefully selected glass materials (TA glass composition: NSG original). As a glass manufacturer, NSG, has developed its own glass flake forming technology to control flake thickness and particle size. This enables to offer a wide range of products.
2) Natutect™
High degree of near-infrared reflection is achieved by controlling thickness of the titanium dioxide coated on glass flake at nano meter level. With such a fine flake thickness and particle size, the coated flake is expected to provide natural toning effect on skin.
3) i-NAFLECS®
Highly dispersed pigments are encapsulated in silica structure. This achieves both a light scattering effect and prevent elution of the pigment.
4) GLACIA DROPS™
True spherical, non-porous glass beads made from NSG's original composition glass. They conform to the skin and provide a natural finish. It is soft to the touch and can be used as a micro-plastic bead substitute.

Raw materials are carefully selected to control the various structures
MAR'VINA® is chemically stable and almost completely free of heavy metals.
1) SILKYFLAKE®
Glass flake with an environmentally friendly, low alkali, low heavy metal, boron-free TA glass, which is made from carefully selected glass materials (TA glass composition: NSG original). MAR'VINA® effects on the skin
1) SILKYFLAKE®
SILKYFLAKE® has a platelet structure that adheres well to the skin with longer makeup effect. The base flake is transparent glass, so it does not look dull in contact with oil and sweat.
2) Natutect™
Natutect™ has an expected effect to restrain damage to the skin and reduce rasing skin temperature by reflecting near-infrared.
3) i-NAFLECS®
When titanium dioxide is encapsulated, it naturally covers pores and blemishes with its light diffusion effect (so-called soft focus effect).

Comparison of MAR'VINA® and other body pigments
MAR'VINA® is chemically stable and almost completely free of heavy metals.
1) SILKYFLAKE®
SILKYFLAKE® is made from a thin, transparent glass base material. It is perfectly transparent and has a moderate gloss. In particular, the 8µm type is extremely thin glass with a sharp particle size distribution. This enables it to have an even finish. Additionally, having surface treatment with hydrogens dimethicone, lauroyl lysine, sodium myristoyl glutamate, and silica eliminates the "creakiness" of the glass. This creates a tactile texture that makes it ideal for use in base makeup.
2) Natutect™ (MBD018)
With only a 5% addition of Natutect™ (MBD018RO) you can get twice the near-infrared reflective effect (800-1400nm) available of commercial products. The glass flake with highly smooth surface will provide high reflection as well as glossy and transparent appearance.
3) i-NAFLECS®
i-NAFLECS has greater texture than titanium dioxide itself asn same smoothness as talc. Due to its soft focus effect resulting from light scattering, the titanium dioxide encapsulated type naturally covers pores and does not show white casting.

Light at wavelength region of infrared rays closest to visible light. Approx. 700-2500nm.
Natural origin index
Calculated percentage of natural raw materials which is defined by ISO 16128 and of naturally sourced parts in naturally sourced raw materials in product. This is based on the guidelines established by the Japan Cosmetic Industry Association.
